Fracturo

A story-driven tower-defense game for iPhone and iPad. On a volcanic planet that is coming apart, a geologist holds back the creatures pouring out of a giant fracture.

Status: In development

Who it is for

Players of tower defense on iPhone and iPad who want a story that matters, told through the levels themselves. The whole story can be finished without paying.

What it does

Fracturo is played in landscape, in a 2.5D world. The player builds towers on spots along each level's paths, and the geologist fights on the field beside them: tap him, then tap the ground to move him, and his rock hammer deals with whatever gets past the towers.

The ground is part of the fight. Tremors can open a new path or swallow a build spot partway through a level, so a defence that held one wave may not hold the next.

The campaign runs to 45 levels across nine chapters, with cutscenes played in the game's own engine and companions who join the geologist along the way. Research completes the moment it is bought, with no timers, and what pays for it is earned by playing.

It is in development, and its first levels are being built now.
